Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Associate Director, the Manager Global Supply Chain will design and implement cost effective differentiated supply chain solutions to help the Global VAD platform strengthen the core and capitalize distinct opportunities for expansion into adjacencies. This position is accountable for global supply chain performance of Injection Systems based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The incumbent will serve on VAD Supply Chain Extended Leadership Team. The Manger Global Supply Chain implement and execute cost effective differentiated supply chain solutions to help the Global VAD platform strengthen the core and capitalize distinct oppotunities for expansion into adjacencies. This position is accountable for VAD global supply chain planning based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Job Description

Accountability & Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Forecast Accuracy, Global Back-order, Global Line Fill and Global Inventory performance for the PIVC Platform
  • Host Platform Management Business Review (MBR) meetings chaired by WW Platform Leader
  • Drive Integrated Financial Reconciliation of Global Demand. This includes reconciling Financial forecast units with Operations / Supply Chain units planned in SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) system
  • Maintain long-range (3 year) Global demand and Global capacity roadmaps for key PIVC product families
  • Drive prompt resolution Global Supply watch-outs by working closely with Manufacturing Integrators
  • Own Plant Volume Variance performance (units & dollars) for plant budget meetings and quarterly plant re-forecast meetings. This includes ensuring global plant volumes are aligned to demand plans and inventory targets
  • Design new product supply chains supporting growth and portfolio expansion into adjacency
  • Champion Supply Chain Cost to Win programs to transform our cost structure over the Annual Strategic Review(ASR) period
  • Sponsor Supply Chain Process improvement Continuous improvement (CI) programs, including SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) system utilization and new functionality roll-out across SCM and business intelligence (BI) space
  • Support Global SAP roll-out milestones, including supply chain project planning, master data accuracy, data validation strategies and integrated testing plans
  • Create Human Resource Planning(HRP) roadmaps and career blue-prints for global supply chain associates
  • Drive associate engagement through Supply Chain rewards and recognition program

Sphere of Influence (liaison):

  • This position will have sphere of influence across global MPS plants and extended Supplier Network; supporting ~$900M top line revenue projection over the Annual Strategic Review (ASR) period

Financial impact:

  • This position impacts global PIVCs. Financial performance including customer service performance, operational performance and supply chain metrics (back orders, inventory and line fill).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS / BA in logistics, operations management or related degree
  • 5+ years’ Experience in Sales & Operations Planning processes - Demand Review, Supply Review, New Products, Financial Reconciliation
  • Demonstrated supply chain leadership, managerial skills and ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to take Global orientation across integrated supply chain
  • Ability to interact and interface with senior levels of management
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge of ERP and/or SAP SCM systems

Additional and Preferred Sills and Qualifications:

  • APICS or equivalent certification (either acquired or in process)
  • Master’s Degree in a related discipline
  • Medical Device experience.
  • Good understanding of Operations Strategy aligned to BDX Business Strategy
  • Analytical skills, communication skills, and good problem resolution skills
