Job Description
· Act as a systems expert – exporting and analyzing large amounts of data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for future cost savings

· Assist Global Category Managers, and other members of North America Procurement Team to:

o Mine data

o Interpret data

o Provide other support

· Work directly with North America Procurement Team to identify cost savings, initiate cost savings projects, and insure projects stay on schedule

· Work directly with Global Supply Chain team to identify, research, and implement cost savings.

· Work directly with Global Engineering team to identify, research, and implement Value Engineering initiatives

· Act as Project Manager on small to medium North America Procurement cost savings initiatives.

· Support Global Commodity Managers on global initiatives.

· Initiate and maintain initiatives within the global cost savings tracking tool

· Utilize learned theories to identify improvements and streamline processes

· Work with Engineering and Sales departments to identify and develop new sources of supply

· Obtain and evaluate technical specifications from involved technical groups and review the scope of work with the contending vendors.

· Provide / maintain data for Procurement KPI's

· Build and maintain relationships with suppliers

· Initiate and maintain initiatives within the global cost savings tracking tool

· Any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or similar

· 2 to 4 years prior experience in a purchasing role required; heavy equipment purchasing experience and / or Supply Chain Analysist experience is helpful

· Knowledge of Sievo and FLSmidth procurement tools preferred

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Spanish language skills a plus

· Ability to read basic blue prints

· High efficiency in Windows environment, Microsoft applications, and familiarity with Oracle software

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
